I have been a smoker for eighteen years...
and today, June 23rd, is my official quit day. Encouragement and moral support gladly accepted.

Good luck, James. My dad quit after some 15 years (if I recall correctly). He used nicotine gum instead of cigarettes at first, and gradually weaned himself off those. And he hasn't smoked since. Must have been twenty years now.
